All this talk of the ‘Big Three’ has either ruffled a few feathers or sparked some others into action. Either way come the big ones it ain’t going to be just one of McIlroy, Day and Spieth… there are a few other bigtime ballers hitting form at just the right time.

Adam Scott

We love Adam Scott. He is a beautiful man with an even more beautiful swing. They used to say he was a carbon-copy of Tiger but nowadays his looks a lot better, probably due to the fact he doesn’t look like he is protecting against his knee blowing off or shitting himself on his downswing.

Back to back wins when people thought he’d struggle without his broom putter move him right up to sixth in the world… and on form there is surely nobody better?

The Aussie knows how to get it done around Augusta and my God does he look good in a green jacket!

Rickie Fowler

Scott has won the last two weeks but over the first quarter of 2016 Rickie is top dog.

A win in Abu Dhabi, chucking one away in Scottsdale and a host of other Top 10’s mean the hi-top kid is there or thereabouts every week and you just know all that talk about ‘Big Threes’ last year pissed him off.

If he can harness that for the season there is a major coming. Anyone who watched Scottsdale knows the lad has bottle and you have to love the fact he doesn’t pussy about, he just takes everything on!

Bubba Watson

As annoying as Bubba is if you read this and don’t get at least a few quid on him for the Masters you need your head read.

He’s still behind the ‘Big Three’ at 12/1 in the betting even though his form is better and he has won the last two even yeared Masters in 2012 and 2014.

After a few steady results Bubba won the Northern Trust and missed out by just a shot to Scott last week.

Plus the guy hits a golf ball like an absolute freak!

Danny Willett

Hear me out.

Nobody has climbed the rankings like Willett over the past year going from outside the Top 50 last year to 11th as I write this.

It has been a consistent rise from a guy who has been the most consistent player on the European Tour over the past couple of years.

Speak to insiders and they will all tell you the Sheffield lad has the game to mix it at the very top level as was shown at this week’s WGC where he was in contention right until the end.
