Alex Noren romped the Nedbank Golf Challenge and the second of the European Tour’s Race to Dubai final series.
He blitzed around the difficult Sun City in 63 swipes and inconceivably was on for a 59 as he went -9 thru his first 11 holes leaving the South Korean dude and overnight leader called Wang feeling like, well a bit of a wang.
The win was Noren’s fourth in eleven starts and he rises to ninth in the world rankings having been 704th in January 2015… giving hope to all of us!
When pro golf is too slow the Swede is a breath of fresh air, he just steps up and hits it, no messing about! A definite #GetOnWithIt ambassador!
So fair play to the lad whose hefty €1,048,523 cheque means next week’s final event in Abu Dhabi will have him competing with his compatriot and leader Henrik Stenson, Danny Willett and some bloke called Rory McIlroy for the Race to Dubai $1,250,000 bonus and will take one of them one step closer to the legendary/Godlike Colin Montgomerie’s seven Order of Merit titles!
